i think the world cried yesterday, i mean both literally and figuratively, yes we lost someone yesterday, we as in not just the people in South Africa, but the entire human race, we lost Nelson Mandela, he died at the age 95 years old, in which 27 years of it was spend in jail, i kinda surprised that a lot of people especially young generation haven't heard about Nelson Mandela, the symbol of struggle against Aphartheid, a racial system that divide people in South Africa since 1948, he started just like any other political activist, a loud mouth screaming for his ideas and principle, even thru his childhood he was known for his 'stuck up' attitude, or a proud rebel so he said..to get better understanding about him, you must look back on the history of the South African nation, where the Apharteid system wounded and killed a lot of people, thru the act of violance and terrorism, news about car bomb, or dead body gutted found on the side of the street was so common, and the goverment at the time will response in brute force in any form of opposition movement, and at first we see Nelson Mandela as angry young man, fighting fire with fire, he even undergo 2 months course guerilla warfare in Ethiophia before being called back in South Africa and arrested then imprisoned for 27 years..thats should be the highlight of his lifework, when in the prison he had the time to think, he studied, and keep fighting the Apharteid with the limitation of imprisonment, upon his release, he already suffer from various disease, but slowly change the course of his struggle to more peaceful way thru means of negotiations and discussion, and the day finally came when he won the election and became the president of South Africa and later became the father of the South Africa nation, the most famous principle is we must learn to hate to be taught to love, it seems that Mandela with all of his hate toward the Apharteid system finally found solution by using the ultimate form of love which is forgiveness, he forgives in order to start a new clean sheet, to start building a nation, although seems that there's an injustice in the process where people who did wrong is not punished properly, the fact that South Africa probably one of the most advance country in the term of democracy and living environment in the whole of Africa Continent which mostly still torn in civil war and racial conflict, we have to thank Mandela for that, because of that legacy and also the life works should be the frame of building a better future for the world
